Dermal Filler Correction (Dissolving)

Liverpool, Ormskirk & Wigan

Correcting undesired results from dermal filler treatments.

See FAQs

Dermal filler correction is the procedure used to address undesired or unsatisfactory results from dermal filler treatments. This can included overfilling, migration of filler, or unevenness.

If you're unhappy with the results of your dermal filler treatment, or if over time, your fillers have changed in appearance, texture or position, we can carry out a safe and gentle corrective procedure to restore harmony to your features and your confidence.

Common issues addressed with dermal filler correction:

  • Overfilled areas - when too much filler is injected, it can create an unnatural or uneven appearance.
  • Filler migration - fillers can sometimes move from the intended injection site, causing lumps or asymmetry.
  • Uneven results - one side of the face may appear fuller than the other due to filler distribution.

We use an enzyme called Hyaluronidase which is injected into the area with the unwanted filler and breaks down the hyaluronic acid, causing the filler to dissolve.

How long does it take for the filler to dissolve?

You will typically see noticeable results within 24-48 hours after injection. Complete dissolution of the filler can take up to a couple of weeks.

What if I've been treated elsewhere?
